Update from Church Army Link Capt Trevor Clarke:

Please give the most enormous thanks for the wonderful Franciscan community who support us in Horn Park, and in particular for the Franciscan community who have donated over £500 given for funding 'Round The Table'.  As you know, the community centre used to be St Francis church, but then turned into a community centre.  We want to take the ground back for the Lord, and use this place for God's glory.  Please give thanks that we have 2 people who are not christians who come regularly along to the 'Round the Table' coffee morning at Horn Park.  Please pray that these two gentlemen and a lady who comes occasionally will see Christ in us and want to know Christ personally in their lives.  Please give thanks for the amazing team who support me on Wednesdays.  Please pray that we as a team can encourage more people to come along.  Please pray about the possibility of a 'Stay and Play' group of parents and children who could come to the coffee morning. One of the mums' children go to Horn Park school, and this would help me in my aim to contact the school and support the school in whatever way is appropriate.

Please give thanks for the Successful Easter Event that we held on Easter Saturday. Lots of families came along, and I did a  short talk and a christian based magic trick, and we witnessed to many families who we sensed were not christians.  We have advertised the Messy Church that we are also doing in Kidbrooke Village, at this event, and many parents said that they would like to come along, and some mums said they would advertise it on 'mum's net'.  Please pray for me to -put a team together for Messy Church which will happen on Sat July 8th.

Please pray that I can take Kidbrooke village church forward in appropriate ways. We are really struggling with this, as it is only the staff team who are attending at the moment, and please pray that I can build evengelistic prayerful teams to prayer walk around Kidbrooke village, and befriend/invite people to church on a regular basis. Please continue to pray for the possibility of doing a 'wildlife trail fresh expression' looking at the links between Jesus and the natural world around us, in Sutcliffe park in Kidbrooke, for young families.

Please pray about an exciting possibility that I really want to take forward. I want to develop a 'trailer' ministry, where I could dress an exhibition trailer up, (using my wife's skills as an artist and spiritual director) to decorate the trailer as a mobile tomb, an advent scene, a biblical fishing scene, the ideas are endless and take it to the local schools, parks and open spaces in both my parishes to primary school children, families etc as a multi sensory aid to support their learning and knowledge about Christianity, it would be visual, auditory, items to touch and taste such as 'barley loaves', crafts and quizzes to do based on a theme etc.  I am so excited about this possibility, and the only thing holding me back is funding for an exhibition trailer.  Please pray that I can apply for appropriate funding for this project which would be well used and an innovative way of taking the Gospel out to the people in a visually exciting way, here in the Greenwich centre of Mission.

Please continue to pray for my recovery from the operation on my hand.  The recovery is long and painful and hampers my ministry somewhat, although is now going in the right direction.

Please also pray for my wife, Bonnie, who is leading a creative quiet day in Hunningham, Warwickshire, on Saturday 13th May.

Thank you so much for praying for me, and please do let me know how I can pray for you.

Yours in Christ,

Trevor
